In the recent budget, the chancellor announced a new childcare provision…

The Chancellor announced in his budget on 15 March 2023, that working parents of two-year-olds will be able to access 15 hours of free childcare from April 2024. This will be extended to all children from nine months old after September 2024.

The details as to how this is to work in practice has yet to be announced, but it sure does give us all some hope for working parents in the future!

In the meantime, working parents/carers may be entitled to Tax-Free-Childcare, if they meet the criteria. For parents and carers employing a Nanny, the Nanny would also need to be OFSTED registered.
